Great Conditions Continue...
One has to wonder of the Pro shouldn't have been scheduled over the last several days and into this weekend as the tide, wind, swell and weather all lined up to produce great conditions into this long weekend here in WA. It's so easy to just say that but of course the level of analysis, time, scheduling and juggling required for a world class event such as the Pro - not to mention international competitors with Covid issues and location changes - is mind-boggling and we take our hats off to anyone involved in organising the WSL event.
We saw the solid swell from yesterday continue into today, dropping only slightly and less than forecast. Early risers were treated to great uncrowded surf with a decent easterly that dropped to pretty much nothing. We were treated to a few hours of magic mid-morning with glassy conditions, good swell and unlike yesterday, some sun. Just a great day to be in the water. Even when the offshore easterly breeze started to get a bit too much south in it and a touch cross-shore, it was still pretty light. The glass was gone but waves were still holding their shape pretty well. let's hope these confions continue into the long weekend. Stay safe, watch the roads as they'll be full of tourists who don't know where they're going, but hey we're pretty damn lucky here when you look at what the rest of ther world is currently dealing with.
Our fav pic from today appears on FB at 5pm. We'll also put something up on insta, also at 5pm. We're happy to include your pics too (same day or as close to when you took them is best so the more recent they are, the better). Send in a high res copy to firstname.lastname@example.org with how you'd like your name to appear/be credited. If you've been thinking about ordering your printed copy of our surfing guide, do it soon, as we're soon to run out and we wont be doing another print run. E-book out soon.
