Our usual turn around time from photos taken to 5pm posting went out the window today as a late drop in easterly winds saw conditions drastically improve late in the day. The offshore had been strong all day causing a few issues with bump in the face. So while the swell was good, conditions were testing. When the wind started to weaken over the course of the afternoon things started looking up. By 3pm it was very light. The bump all but disappeared and what looked like average surf half an hour prior really started to turn it on. Crowds were low as many were caught unaware. We've added in a couple of nice shots sent in by @calehawls, also taken today. Cheers mate. See more from today @surfingmr and of course, send us in any you've taken yourself (to FB or insta) and we'll do our best to get 'em up. Our favourite from today usually features on FB at 5pm - it was a fraction late today given the arvo prime conditions.
