The weather has turned it on the second weekend running, last weekend for the Ag Show, this weekend for the Cape to Cape Mountain Bike race. Both events see a huge number of extra people flood into the Margaret River area. The surf was pumping yesterday morning, and this morning also looked the goods despite a drop in swell. Size was good in the early hours but the strong off-shore caused a bit of havoc on the face. When the wind died down at about 9.30am, things got tasty. But the window was small, as a very light onshore started to wobble the face a bit, and the waves lost that clean, glassy, perfect shape they'd been holding by 11am. The onshore was pretty light for most of the day, seeing some other options available for those keen enough to be on the search despite the swell dropping over the course of the day. Plenty on offer for all this weekend douth.
