Solid Swell

It's been wet, wet, wet and squally as cold fronts continue to cross the coast. Word around town is its one of the wettest winters seen in a long time, and it sure feels that way. The weekend saw cold, wet, windy on-shore conditions, so it was a relief to finally wake to no rain and even a bit of sun! Solid ten to twelve foot swell and southerly winds saw some of the larger spots firing, although much of the coast was pretty wind affected. But not all of it! The wind turned west-souwest by lunch time, making for testing conditions in even the most protected bays. A similar wind forecast tomorrow with a drop in swell might see some of the smaller protected spots firing. Get out there if you can. Our photo of the day is featured on our Facebook page at 5pm, while posts on insta @surfingmr mix some of our classic all time favourite shots taken over a twenty year period, with recent surf shots taken over the last few days.
