
Heavin' beach breaks, broken boards, shark sirens and tiger snakes. It was on!
It was going to prove a tough task living up to the hype generated in the media about the cyclone swell due to hit the south west on the weekend. While the uneducated were expecting huge waves, it was the direction that mattered, resulting in a rare opportunity to see a few of the breaks that like a nor-west swell (a rare event in the south west) really fire. A Great Day to be in the Water
A strong offshore weakened into late morning on a rising tide, seeing reef breaks working nicely. By late morning the wind had all but dropped but unfortunately so had the six foot swell. So instead of epic conditions in the surf, we saw some action in the water but it was a little inconsistent with a wait between sets. It was however, a simply spectacular morning to be on the coast, with several spots looking postcard perfect before a strong sou-westerly hit. A great day to
