A strong offshore weakened into late morning on a rising tide, seeing reef breaks working nicely. By late morning the wind had all but dropped but unfortunately so had the six foot swell. So instead of epic conditions in the surf, we saw some action in the water but it was a little inconsistent with a wait between sets. It was however, a simply spectacular morning to be on the coast, with several spots looking postcard perfect before a strong sou-westerly hit. A great day to find yourself in the water. As Taj B commented after exiting the surf, "It's just beautiful isn't it?'' Yes, it was. We couldn't agree more.
